Annual Conference

Since 2004 The Westminster Confession Into The 21st Century conference has been held at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA.  This annual conference seeks to combine scholarly and practical teaching from the top pastors, teachers, and theologians in the reformed community. 

Location

Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary seeks to educate students who love the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, equipping pastors for the ministry of the gospel and preparing others in the church for effective service in His kingdom, all within the framework of the historic Reformed faith.  More informatoin on the school can be found here.

Past Conferences

2004 -- Ground breaking research andn discovery has puncuated the last few years in Westminster Assembly studies.  Significant debate is in full swing relating to the doctrine of justification, the sacraments, sanctification, worship, covenant theology, the Lord's Day, and pastoral theology.  Respected pastor-theologians speak on these subjects and more.

2005 -- The doctrine of justification, the sacraments, natural law, and ethics were all addressed by the divines of the Westminster Assembly.  Contemporary debates now in progress now relating to these subjects demand a listen to these respected pastor-theologians speaking on topic as they relate to the Westminster Assembly.

2006 -- Significant misunderstanding continues to arise regarding the Westminster Assembly's doctrine of the law of God in personal and public life.  It is important to the Church to revisit these issues of the confession for most Reformed and Presbyterian churches.  Listen as respected pastor-theologians examine these subjects and more in a timely and helpful manner.

2007 -- The 2007 conference honors the life and ministry of Dr. Wayne Spear, Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and noted scholar on the Westminster Assembly.  These presentations of scholars from three different tontinents address current issues relating to the thology and influence of the Westminster Confession, the major summary confession of beliefs for most Reformed and Presbyterian churches.

2008 -- The 2008 conference represents the first installment of a three-year series focusing on Christ's three offices: Prophet, Priest, and King.  The event will focus on how Christ's prophetic office continues today in the church through preaching.  These presentations are both scholarly and practical.  Pastors, church leaders, and all serious students of God's Word will benefit from these messages.  Renew your passion for preachign and more importantly, for Christ -- the greatest of all the prophets!
