Central to the coming of Jesus to earth was the Kingdom of God.  At its heart was something unexpected, disconcerting, and yet thrilling: the mystery of the kingdom.  We will trace the mystery through Christ's life and teaching and then explore its implications for today.  This mystery still shapes the experience and mission of the church and enables believers to be both idealistic and realistic.  To grasp the balance between the "already" and the "not yet" is crucial for energetic, fruitful ministry.

Speaker Biography

Rev. Edward Donnelly is the pastor of Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland.  he is a widely traveled preacher and conference speaker; he has to date written three books.  He also serves as principal and professor of New Testament at the Reformed Theological College, Belfast.
