Living a Grace-Full Life
Women's Conference 2015
October 30 - 31, 2015
Westminster Presbyterian Church
Conference auido coming soon!
When we see grace as more than a pleasant word and watch it morph into a pervasive biblical doctrine, we are ready to understand it as a lifestyle and as the overarching framework within which God relates to us. Tutored by the biblical tenets of grace, we begin to understand our worlds and our hearts differently; hopelessness and hope, dependence and strength, failure and purpose become pairs instead of opposites. We have the opportunity of seeing ourselves and our earthly lives as God sees them.
Join us this October 30 and 31 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as Barbara Duguid helps to acquaint us with the expansive nature of grace. It will surprise us by pushing into nooks and crannies of our thinking and living that have long needed its overhaul. Elizabeth Groves and Stephanie Hubach will help us see the outworking of grace in areas such as loss, grief, and rebuilding, as well as sacrificial care-giving and a grace-full approach to those who need us. In short, we will see that the grace of our sovereign God toward us, which he enables us to extend to others, is more than amazing…it is indeed extravagant.

Barbara Duguid was born in Jos, Nigeria, to a missionary family that moved to a new country every 4 years. She spent her early childhood in Peru, Argentina, and Brazil before her family moved back to the US and her father became a pastor. She graduated from Radford University with a B.S. in Medical Technology, then returned to Africa to work in the laboratory of a mission hospital in Monrovia, Liberia, where she dallied in tropical medicine and met her Scottish husband. Iain and Barb have been married for 31 years and have 6 grown children. Together they have planted 4 churches alongside Iain's full time calling as Professor of Old Testament. They now live in Glenside, PA, where Iain is teaching at Westminster Seminary. Barb earned her Advanced Counseling Certificate from CCEF in Glenside, PA, and greatly enjoys the privilege of watching beloved fellow believers grow in grace. She also teaches Bible Studies, speaks at retreats and conferences, and writes the liturgy used for church services each week at Christ Presbyterian Church in Glenside. In her free time, Barb enjoys watching movies with her family and chatting with her hubby and kids while drinking endless cups of tea.
Elizabeth Groves attended Dartmouth College and Westminster Seminary, where she has taught Hebrew since 2009. She is also involved in the ESL ministry at her church (New Life PCA in Glenside, PA). Her husband Alan taught Old Testament at Westminster for a quarter of a century before his death from cancer in 2007. They have four married children and four grandchildren. Elizabeth’s book “Grief Undone: A Journey with God and Cancer” was released in the spring of 2015. Her mini-book “Becoming a Widow: The Ache of Missing Your Other Half” was published in 2012.
Stephanie Hubach serves as Mission to North America’s Special Needs Ministries Director. Mission to North America (MNA) is a Permanent Committee of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). She also currently serves on the Lancaster Christian Council on Disability (LCCD). Steph is the author of Same Lake, Different Boat: Coming Alongside People Touched by Disability and All Things Possible: Calling Your Church Leadership to Disability Ministry. She has been published in By Faith magazine, Focus on the Family magazine, and Breakpoint online magazine and produced a Christian Education DVD series based on Same Lake, Different Boat. Steph and her husband Fred—who is an engineer with Case New Holland—have been married for 32 years. They have two deeply loved sons: Fred and Tim, the younger of whom has Down syndrome. The Hubachs added a wonderful daughter‐in‐law to the family in June 2013 when Cecelia Miles and Fred were married.
