The Vision of the Church is to glorify God. I am to praise, honor, and exalt God in everything I do.
 
The mission for believers and the church collectively is what we are to do to demonstrate and display who we are. To summarize, our vision is to glorify God; our mission is what God commands us to do in order to fulfill the vision of glorifying God. This vision and mission of the church must be biblical, understandable, attainable, and applicable.
 
To glorify God is who we are.

Who in the church is responsible for Ministry? Ephesians 4:11-12 says, “ And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” (Ephesians 4:11-12 ESV)

Ephesians 4:11-12 describes two groups of ministers. First, leaders. Among the different kinds of leaders the Apostle Paul lists include Apostles (ἀπόστολος). An apostle means a delegate, an envoy, or a messenger.

What is Ministry? There are three words for ministry in the New Testament.

First, there is the Greek word Diakonos. We derive our English word deacon from diakonos. The word may be translated servant, attendant, or a minister. It refers to a servant in relationship with his/her work.
 
Mark 10:45. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.”
