Semper Reformanda: Why the Reformation Still Matters

Alliance members labor for reformation in today’s Church.

David Wells states the case for reformation well when he writes,

“The indulgent God has done nothing good for the Church. It is time to return to the biblical God. But this is meaningless unless we start where Scripture starts.”

Many Christians today do not want to dig into significant doctrine... It is far easier to nod... Few are willing to risk alienating those who disagree... All too often we see others conforming the Bible to the meet culture; people exchanging the authority of Scripture for fallen human reason.

The Alliance ministry features the teaching of pastors and scholars who hold fast to the inerrancy of Scripture. They know that the culture seeks to chip away at the Bible's authority. Therefore the Alliance provides its members with the resources to equip themselves.

You can read the rest of David’s article on "Why We (Still) Need Reform", as well as articles by Alliance contributors Craig Troxel, Gene Veith, Nick Batzig, and David Murray when you download this month’s free booklet Semper Reformanda: Why the Reformation Still Matters. Inerrancy matters. Doctrine matters. Reformation matters. Thank you for standing with the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.
