SpeakerPeter Lillback is president of Westminster Theological Seminary and professor of Historical Theology and Church History. He is also the founder of The Providence Forum. Dr. Lillback received a Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a B.A. from Cedarville University in Ohio. He is the author of several books, including the best-selling George Washington's Sacred Fire and Saint Peter's Principles: Leadership for Those Who Already Know Their Incompetence. |

Our mission is modeled after George Whitefield, who was known primarily for preaching in the open air to the common man. His message was the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God's sovereign grace, and the necessity of the new birth. To emulate Whitefield, we sponsor annual conferences free of charge to the general public. Our first five conferences featured the James Montgomery Boice. In his memory, we have named our conference, The James Montgomery Boice Memorial Lectures.
It was said of George Whitefield's ministry that "The work embraced all classes, all ages, and all moral conditions. It bound pastors and people together with a strong bond of sympathy. It made men students of the Word of God and brought them in thought, purpose, and effort into communion with their Father in heaven."
