"In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation,
and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit."

Ephesians 1:13

He is the same in substance and is equal in power and glory with the Father and the Son. He is the only efficient agent in the application of redemption. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, moves them to repentance, and regenerates them so they may embrace Jesus Christ by faith. He indwells all true believers, baptizing them into one body. Like the Father and the Son, He bears many names: Comforter, Intercessor, Advocate.

He is the Holy Spirit, and He is the most neglected, misunderstood member of the Trinity, to the point where J.C. Ryle said, "I believe that few truths of the Christian religion are so often obscured and spoiled by false doctrine as the truth about the Holy Spirit." We live in an age where errors about the person and work of the Holy Spirit abound, and correction in teaching and understanding is greatly needed.

With that in mind, we are excited to devote the 2015 Quakertown Regional Conference on Reformed Theology to the subject of "The Promised Holy Spirit." For two days, we will examine the Holy Spirit and what the Scriptures say about Him. Plenary session themes will include "Springs of Living Water," "The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament," "The Holy Spirit and New Creation," "The Holy Spirit and the 'Last Days,'" and "The Guarantee of Our Inheritance." In addition to five plenary sessions, all who attend will have the opportunity to choose from three Saturday afternoon workshops, two of which are directly Holy Spirit-related.

As we look to our eight annual conference, it is our great privilege and honor to have as our speakers, Drs. David Murray, Harry Reeder, Derek Thomas, and Scott Oliphint. Please prayerfully consider joining us on Nov. 13-14, 2015 in Quakertown, PA, less than an hour north of Philadelphia and 20 minutes south of Allentown. We know you will be blessed as we worship together and by sitting under the faithful proclamation of the Word.
