Speaker Biographies
Rev. Richard Phillips is the Bible teacher of God's Living Word broadcast. Rev. Phillips also serves as senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC and is chair of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology. An officer in the United States Army for thirteen years, Phillips commanded tank units and later served as assistant professor of leadership at West Point before resigning with the rank of major to enter the ministry. Rick is the author of numerous books, including, Holding Hands, Holding Hearts, Hebrews Reformed Expository Commentary, and Walking with God: Learning Discipleship in the Psalms.
Rev. Dr. Craig Troxel is the Pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Wheaton, IL and an adjunct professor in Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Anderson University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Troxel is a past contributor to reformation21 and Modern Reformation as well as being published in Westminster Theological Journal, Calvin Theological Journal, Fides et Historia, Trinity Journal, and Presbuterion. He and his wife Carolyn, together with their five children live in Wheaton where they enjoy playing sports, reading books, and growing the ingredients for salsa in their garden.
Dr. Carl Trueman is departmental chair of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He has an M.A. in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Aberdeen. He is editor of the IFES journal, Themelios, and has taught on the faculties of theology at both the University of Nottingham and the University of Aberdeen. He has authored a number of books, including The Claims of Truth: John Owen's Trinitarian Theology and The Wages of Spin: Critical Writings on Historic and Contemporary Evangelicalism. He lives in Oreland, a suburb of Philadelphia, with his wife, Catriona, and his two sons, John and Peter.
