Original Housewives, Non-Housewives, and Spin Doctors

Hope I don't annoy you too much with talk about my book this week, but it is now printed and at the publisher. I will have some cool updates to share, and then we'll be back to Norman around here, as I like to say. So here is my book trailer. It's crazy awkward watching myself talk all cheese-like to you guys. Movie trailers get to show you awesome scenes from the movie. Book trailers have to create their own. So I have some footage from some of my ordinary get-togethers and family vacation. I'm only sad because I was filmed doing all my talking at my mom's, and she was so busy doing the hostessing gig that she isn't in the video. I'm going to have to talk her into learning nunchucks with me for the next one.  Thanks to my brother for putting it together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCMxTqgumFo Also, P&R has gotten a little edgy over at their blog. Aaron, the project manager of my book has written an article encouraging the non-housewife to take a read. The main reason I am bringing this to your attention is because I can't keep this glorious picture to myself. Should have been the cover! HWT_Aaron-BlogYou can read the whole article here. And lastly, I have most probably foolishly agreed to be a frequent co-host with Carl Trueman and Todd Pruitt on their podcast, The Mortification of Spin. You might be surprised to learn that Carl has adopted some transformationalist thinking. Well, at least he provides before and after shots of the transformation I have undergone after talking with him and Todd after a mere two episodes. It's quite remarkable, really. I am grateful to have transformed from my former peely wally complexion. And although Carl is now comparing the three of us to Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour, I somehow get the feeling that I've been talking to Darryl and his other brother Darrell. Time will tell. You can find the before and after shots here.
