Saved by Grace, Theologian by Default

My first interview with Carl Trueman and Todd Pruitt on the Mortification of Spin is now available. This was also my first interview period, so it was kind of like being thrown in the deep end. I like to compare it to a scene from the movie "The Christmas Story" when it was finally time for Ralphie to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. Of course, he wanted an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle! But when he is asked the question, his mind goes blank. That's kind of what it feels like to be interviewed for the first time by Carl Trueman. The questions are more intelligent than my answers. I want to encourage ordinary people to be good theologians, but when I was set up even with the easy questions, my mind pretty much wiped clean. So Carl and Todd helped me out a bit, "How about a nice football?" "Football? Football? What's a football? With unconscious will my voice squeaked out 'football'." But, I seemed to warm up a little bit and do better as we progressed. And Carl and Todd were kind enough not to kick me down any crazy mall slides. If you go over to the Mortification of Spin website, you have a chance to spin the wheel and win a free copy of Housewife Theologian. And you really should do that, because I am now going to be a frequent co-host to try and keep these guys in line! It's free to subscribe, so no excuses! Click here to take a listen.   images-1
